Tony was a tireless supporter of our foundation, our school, our teachers, our students and their families. He hosted our annual Food for Thought benefit for more than a decade, charming everyone with his legendary intellect and wit, but mostly with his tangible love for Bronx Letters and its mission. Anthony Bourdain was more than an exquisite writer and journalist, more than a chef and television host, more than a world traveller and breaker of taboos and boundaries; he was a warrior for justice, a deeply charitable and socially conscious citizen who did more than his fair share to improve the lives of the marginalized. He was, and will forever remain, our hero.
Rest in peace, Tony.
We are honored to be part of Tony’s legacy of compassion, and will continue the work he so ardently supported.
